On Saturday, May 6, 2017, two groups of Trinity volunteers joined many other community members for a day of service in Rockdale County. Some of us went to stock shelves at One Heart Ministries, a food pantry serving low-income families. The other group worked with a science teacher at Honey Creek Elementary to plant flowers, clean-up the school’s outdoor teaching area, and rehabilitate a small fish pond.
From the HAR website:
“Hands Across Rockdale is a community initiative that aims to promote the spirit of volunteerism within the Conyers-Rockdale community while providing service to those in need… Whether it’s picking up a paint brush, spreading mulch, or helping abandoned dogs and cats find a home, all it takes is several hours of your time. In return, you know you’re making your community a better place.”
Trinity volunteers had a great experience showing love to our local community by helping and serving as part of the 2017 Hands Across Rockdale emphasis. We hope you will join us for the next event in 2018, but we welcome you to join us as part of our fellowship now, as we actively seek to “empower people to celebrate and affirm God’s love for all”!
