Pastor Cy Lynch discusses the sacredness of human life using John 3:16-17; Romans 5:8 and 1 John 4:19, 21. The following are his sermon points.
Sacredness of human life is grounded in God’s Image and Incarnation
Sacredness of human life is universal and unlimited, yet tensions abound
God calls us to seek unity and remain teachable.
Cy concludes that we are to treat people with love and justice because they are sacred. God has consecrated each and every human being — without exception and in all circumstances — as a unique, incalculably precious being of elevated status and dignity. God’s revelation in Scripture and incarnation in Jesus Christ declares and demonstrates the sacred worth of human beings and God will hold us accountable for responding appropriately.
