On this 3rd Sunday of Advent, Cy Lynch, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, reflects on Psalm 16 showing that joy is in God’s plan for His people. Many confuse happiness with joy. Happiness is a feeling that depends on external circumstances. We can have joy, however, no mater what’s happening around us.
In this sermon, “Joy in God’s Presence,” Pastor Cy shows how joy comes from within based on confidence that God is for us, God is with us and God is in us. Jesus’s victory over death assures us of eternal joy once we accept God’s grace gift of salvation.
